ONE of the biggest shop fronts on Barnard Castle high street was glaringly empty for a number of months but reopened in April as The Factory Store. The small chain, which also has shops in Whitley Bay and Chester-le- Street, sells surplus stock from different high street stores such as Marks & Spencer, Next and Monsoon.
