COUNTY Durham Community Foundation celebrated the launch of its new name and branding at a cocktail party.
Held at Bistro 21, in Durham, the event saw trustees and staff of the local charity (previously County Durham Foundation) gathered together with fundholders and supporters to toast the new look and all they have achieved over the past year.
Chief executive Barbara Gubbins said: “2010 will be our 15th anniversary. In this time, we have managed to give out over £15m in grants to local community groups and individuals. This is all thanks to the businesses, families, individuals, trusts and public bodies who set up funds with us in support of their own communities. We live in a very generous county.”
Entertainment was provided by the St John’s Lynesack Handbell Ringers and Durham Cathedral’s Senior Girl Choristers. Darlington-based accountants Clive Owen & Co sponsored and co-hosted the evening.
