JERVAULX Abbey was the setting for the launch of a new cheese produced by the Wensleydale Creamery.

Customers, suppliers and friends of the Hawes-based business gathered to celebrate the launch of Jervaulx Blue, a mild and creamy blue cheese.

David Hartley, managing director of the Wensleydale Creamery, and Peter Andrew, commercial director, spoke to the guests in a marquee erected in the shadow of the abbey’s Cistercian ruins. They thanked all those who had supported the creamery in the past and present.

Guests enjoyed a barbecue, a live band and plenty of Jervaulx Blue.
