Local Heroes tenth anniversary awards

THE tenth anniversary of the “Oscars of grassroots sport” saw inspirational teenager Lyndon Longhorne named The Northern Echo’s Local Hero of 2009 for overcoming his disabilities and becoming a national swimming champion.
